Holiday Update

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last few months, here are a bunch to get you through to the new year.

First off, my etsy store has been updated for the Christm….. Holiday season. Visit www.etsy.com/shop/djlaroccaART to take a gander. There’s some fun stuff fresh off the gallery walls. A few things have been reduced in price as well.

On December 5th I’ll be part of the 33.3 show at gallery1988 (EAST). Over a 100 artist reinterpret and reimagine famous album covers. I did 5 color, hand pulled screen print inspired by the Deltron 3030 cover. It measure 12x12 and comes in an edition of 24. The show runs for about a month. Head over to nineteeneightyeight.com for more info.

On December 12th I will once again be a part of gallery1988’s annual Crazy 4 Cult show. After two years on the east coast, the show is back in Los Angeles at g1988(West). My piece is inspired by the darker (and perhaps better) alternate ending of Little Shop of Horrors. Its a three color, hand pulled screen print. It measures 12x16 and comes in an edition of 32. The show runs for about a month. Head over to nineteeneightyeight.com for more info.

And finally on December 13th I will be selling my wares at the Crafty Balboa holiday craft fair. Doors open at 11am and don’t close till 5pm. Many prints will be heavily discounted. If your in the South Philly area, swing by to say hi, buy something from me or the many other talented artists and do me a favor watch my stuff while I visit the bathroom. Check out www.craftybalboa.com for more info.

Philly Escapes The Robot Apocalypse

Got to work on a great project last week. I was asked by Sidewalk Atlas, a local band here in Philly, to design a new t-shirt for them. They asked me if I was interested in doing a fun, post-apocalyptic theme for the image. I said sure, twist my arm!

The design is three colors printed on a purple t-shirt. It may look like the robots are destroying the city for no reason but I prefer to think that they are looking for a lost kitten.

The band is taking orders for the shirt here. You can also check out their new album which is definitely worth a listen (and a purchase) here. For more info visit sidewalkatlas.com
